![]() Seller never operated the boat in salt water after delivery had been taken from his seller/dealer in late 2014 and before the restoration began in 2015, as Seller's previously leased residential complex site dock space was then continuously unavailable due to complex-wide dock renovations then occurring. That is supported by: (1) the attached copy of the 1947 Chris-Craft Boat Equipment Record showing a dealer in Ohio was intitially sent the boat and (2) Seller's seller/dealer in Minnesota representing to Seller that his seller was an Ohio resident who represented that he was the second owner and that the first owner had also been an Ohio resident. Until purchased by Seller, the best information is that the boat had been exclusively operated in fresh waters in the Midwest, specifically Ohio. A 1997 Spartan trailer is included in the asking price. Seller has now entered into semi-retirement and his extended family no longer has any interest in boating. ![]() Total running time of the rebuilt engine has been less than 50 hours. Before restoration was completed in 2018, Seller lost his residential complex site dock lease and post-restoration the boat was only in the water for brief testing, and thereafter has been continuously maintained in dry storage. Since the purchase, the following work was done/added: (1) all wood was fully repaired/restored inside and out, with portions patched, replaced, refastened, and caulked, with 4 layers of varnish applied on the outside (2) all new (or professionally refurbished) operating systems, including exterior engine components, wiring, gauges/instruments, bilge pumps (duplicated for redundancy), chrome parts (or re-plated), and charging/water level alarm system (mobile phone/text failure notification capable) (3) all new upholstery, including cockpit edging and (4) all new custom cover with full side coverage when in dry storage, and fold-up to water line while at the dock.
